Urgent Exams
At Ivens-Bronstein Veterinary Hospital we offer same-day urgent exams to both new and current clients, by appointment only, during our regular business hours. In order to ensure we have availability and can provide the care needed for your pet, please call ahead at 610-649-4242.
We offer same-day appointments for non-emergency concerns—issues that are uncomfortable or sudden but not immediately life-threatening. These visits are ideal for problems like a torn dewclaw, vomiting or diarrhea without severe symptoms, limping, ear or skin irritation, or other mild to moderate issues that should be checked soon.
Please note: same-day appointments are not for true emergencies such as trouble breathing or open-mouth breathing in cats, collapse, seizures, major trauma, severe bleeding, or any situation where your pet appears to be in significant distress. If you’re unsure, please call us and our team can guide you.
In Case of an Emergency
For after-hours emergency service we have partnered with VetTriage to offer video telehealth services. The VetTriage veterinarians are available 24/7 and will assess your pet on a live video chat for a small fee to determine if your pet requires immediate emergency care, or simple monitoring at home until we reopen. In the event of an emergency, they will coordinate your visit to the local emergency veterinary hospital.

If you prefer to head straight to an emergency facility we highly recommend the locations below. Note that it is ALWAYS recommended to call the emergency vet prior to your arrival there. It will help them to have everything ready for your pet, and they may also be able to advise you regarding first aid measures prior to arrival there. Our recommended emergency hospitals are:
